Louth

On the Darling River, Louth was a market town for sheep properties such as Dunlop Station. Chinese market gardeners often supplying produce for the stations as well as the town.

These stations were the centre of the late 19th century shears strikes, a major component of which was the refusal to work with any Chinese labour.
