Centre for Gold Rush Collections

The Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections is Sovereign Hill's research, collections and storage facility in Ballarat. It occupies the former Gold Museum building at 383 Bradshaw Street, Golden Point, adjacent to Sovereign Hill. 

Unlike a conventional museum with permanent displays, it is a collections centre. Its purpose is to preserve, research and interpret one of Australia's most significant collections relating to the Victorian gold rush. Its holdings comprise more than 150,000 objects, including some of the finest surviving material from Victorian Chinese temples and communities, including carved temple panels, banners, furniture, costumes and ritual objects.
